Halo-Halo
is a popular dessert in The Philippines. They mainly consists of Shaved
Ice, milk, beans, fruits and ice cream. It's a dessert that exemplifies
the "east-meets-west" culture in the Philippines, with ingredients used
coming from a variety of influences.
E.g. Red Mung beans from
the Chinese, Garbanzos from the Indians, Leche Flan from the Spaniards,
and Shaved Ice by the Americans.
